Ahmed Mahfouz scored two goals and the Port Huron Prowlers won their third straight on Thursday, topping Dayton 4-3 at McMorran Arena.  Jared Hicks and Scott Witmyer added goals in the win.  Port Huron plays in Brewster

The Detroit Red Wings jumped back into a playoff spot with a 3-1 win in Columbus on Thursday night.  Luke Glendening, Henrik Zetterberg, and Darren Helm had goals.  Detroit plays in Florida on Saturday.

Michigan beat Tulsa 67-62 on Wednesday to advance to the second round of the NCAA Basketball Tournament.  Mohammad-Ali Rahkman and Zack Irvin each scored 16 points for Michigan, who will face Notre Dame on Friday at 9:40

The Detroit Pistons opened a nine game home stand with a 118-114 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday at the Palace.  Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 24 points for the Pistons, who look to snap a two game

The Philadelphia Flyers are putting the heat on the Red Wings.  Philly beat Detroit 4-3 last night to pull with in one point of the Wings and the final playoff spot in the East.  The Flyers have
