Jason Kipnis hit a three run home run in the top of the ninth off Shane Greene, breaking a 1-1 tie and giving the Cleveland Indians a 4-1 win over the Detroit Tigers on Friday night in the first game of a three game series. Nick Castellanos drove in the only Detroit run, as starter Michael Fulmer of the Tigers and Trevor Bauer of the Indians matched pitch for pitch through most of the game. The second game of the series is set for Saturday afternoon at Comerica Park with a 4:10 PM first pitch.
