Sanilac County authorities are investigating a shooting that resulted in a woman’s death. The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Department was called to a home in the 5700 block of Mills Street in Peck early Tuesday morning on reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, deputies found an injured 46 year old man and the body of a 38 year old woman. Both individuals are believed to have been shot in what authorities believe was a domestic dispute. A third individual, a 19 year old male, was uninjured, and is believed to be the person who called 9-1-1. The man is currently hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by Michigan State Police and Brown City Police and the case remains under investigation.
