It’s the third fatal car crash in St. Clair County this week. Sheriff’s deputies were called to the area of Capac and Donald Road in St. Clair County’s Mussey Township around 1:45pm Tuesday afternoon for a two vehicle crash. A van driven by a 32 year old female with a 29 year old male passenger, both from Mussey Township were traveling east on Donald when authorities say they failed to stop for a stop sign at Capac Road.
Their van was struck by another van that was southbound on Capac Road being operated by a 60 year old from St. Clair Shores. The 32 year old Mussey Township woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and her passenger was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries. Both are believed to have not been wearing their seatbelts. The 60 year old St. Cliar Shores Man also sustained non life threatening injures and is said to have been wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
