Public works of art that can be seen across the City of Port Huron, including along the Thomas Edison Parkway, will be staying put for at least another year. David Korff of the Port Huron Arts Initiative says they have secured funding to extend the static displays for another year. Korff, speaking to WPHM, says he wanted to make sure the artwork would remain on display through next month’s antique boat show. He also says the Port Huron Arts Initiative is in the process of raising funds for another batch of sculptures. Korff tells WPHM the Port Huron Arts Initiative is looking to raise 20-thousand dollars in donations for a new batch of artwork to be put on display for the 2019-2020 season. The Port Huron Arts Initiative is a sub-committee of the Port Huron Downtown Development Authority, which which receives funds from individual donations as well as grants.
