The St. Clair Starz U14 softball team, Michigan state champions, won their first game of regional action in Illinois on Sunday, beating Illinois 10-2. the game began on Saturday and due weather delays took 29 hours to finish. Kylie Russell had 4 hits, 2 runs, and 3 RBI, while Skye Gottler added 3 hits and 2 runs, and Savanna Clark added 2 hits and 2 RBI. Julia Schweihofer also drove in 2 runs for the Starz, who will face Indiana on Monday morning.
