Gas prices lower this week

Statewide gas prices have decreased over the past week according to AAA of Michigan. The auto club is reporting the current statewide average daily gas price is $2.92 a gallon which is about 6 cents less than last week’s average and 49 cents more than the same time last year. Of the ten Michigan Metro Area’s surveyed by Triple-A, the lowest average prices can be found in the Tri-Cities where gas is about $2.84 a gallon and the highest prices are in the Ann Arbor area for the tenth week in a row, where it’s $3.02 a gallon. Across the local area, gas prices in Lapeer are about $2.89 a gallon, meanwhile in Sandusky pumps are asking about $2.95, and in Port Huron it’s about $2.75 for a gallon of regular unleaded.
