A Brown City man has been hospitalized after an alcohol involved motorcycle accident Wednesday night. Sanilac County Sheriff’s Deputies say it happened on Burns Line Road at the intersection of Shepard Road in Maple Valley Township. A Harley Davidson operated by a 23 year old Brown City man was traveling northbound on Shepard and failed to come to a stop at the intersection. He was struck by a SUV driven by a 30 year old Brockway Township woman with three children passengers. The motorcycle operator was taken to McLaren Lapeer, the occupants of the SUV were treated on the scene by Marlette EMS. Alcohol is believed to be a factor for the motorcycle operator and officials say he was not wearing a helmet.
