With one year left on a five year deal worth $35 million, the Detroit Pistons fired Stan Van Gundy on Monday. Van Gundy had been the teams president of basketball operations and head coach for the last four seasons compiling a record for (152-176), making the playoffs just once in that span. The search for a replacement is currently underway.
