The lowest scoring team in the American League put up ten runs on Thursday, as Kansas City beat the Detroit Tigers 10-6 in the first game of a four game series. The Royals smacked three home runs in the game, including one from Alex Gordon who had three hits. Lucas Duda added three hits and four RBI for KC. Nick Castellanos had three hits, including a home run, and two RBI for the Tigers. Game two is set for Friday night in Kansas City.
