
Former Detroit Tigers players Alan Trammell and Jack Morris have finally been elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday night. Trammell, a shortstop in the late 70’s through mid 90’s was a career .285 hitter with 185 home runs and 1003 runs batted in. He also stole 236 career bases, while being named to six All-Star teams. Trammell won four gold gloves, three silver sluggers, and was MVP of the 1984 World Series, the last won by a Tigers team. Morris was a member of four World Series Winners, including the 84 Tigers, and won a Series MVP in his career as well. A five time All-Star, Morris won 254 games and struck out 2,478 hitters, while throwing a no hitter, and 175 complete games.
