No. 16 Michigan State lost on the road in triple overtime to Northwestern 39-31 on Saturday. Brian Lewerke completed 39 passes for 445 yards and four touchdowns, two to Cody White, who had 165 yards on nine catches in the loss. Michigan State will host Penn State next Saturday.
