Jay Beagle scored the only goal of the game, as the Washington Capitals beat the Detroit Red Wings 1-0 on Friday night in Washington. The Red Wings have lost three in a row and have been shutout in two of their last three games. Detroit returns to action on Sunday, at home against Calgary.
