
St. Clair native Tyler Motte picked up an assist on Tuesday night to help the Chicago Blackhawks in a 6-1 preseason win over the Detroit Red Wings in Chicago. Motte played just under 14 minutes, took three shots, and had a plus-one rating. In four exhibition games with the Hawks, Motte has two goals, including a short hander, and three points, and is a plus-three. He turned professional last season, after leading the Michigan Wolverines in scoring. Louis-Marc Aubry scored for the Wings, who play in Pittsburgh tonight in more preseason action.
