The Spartans improve to (2-0) on the season, while the Irish fall to (1-2). Gerald Holmes rushed 13 times for 100 yards and a touchdown for MSU, who also got 98 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown from LJ Scott. Freshman Donnie Corley added 88 yards on four catches and scored a touchdown for the Spartans, who host No. 9 Wisconsin next Saturday in East Lansing. Kick off is scheduled for noon.
