A some what quiet start to this years Belle’s Beer Bayview Mackinac Race on Saturday in lower Lake Huron. A fleet of around 220 yachts, broken into 16 classes and 13 starts, got underway beginning at 11:30 AM. The noon start was delayed by ten minutes because of a starting error, however, it was the only hicc-up to the event’s opening. This years fleet includes 25 yachts from the Port Huron Yacht Club.
