A three vehicle crash on M-46 just west of Sandusky injured five people yesterday morning. According to the Sanilac County Sheriff’s office, a Caro woman had stopped in the eastbound lane of M-46 while she was attempting to make a left hand turn onto Freiburger Road. He vehicle was rear ended sending her into oncoming traffic. He car was struck by an oncoming pickup hauling a camper trailer driven by a Sandusky man. The pickup and trailer became detached and the pickup rolled over on its side, injuring him and his two passengers. The Caro woman woman was airlifted to a Saginaw area hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. All others were taken to area hospital for treatment. The names of those involved are currently being withheld and the cause of the crash is being investigated.
