Over $20k in meth seized in Capac area bust

A man is in custody after thousands of dollars in meth were found in his home and vehicle Wednesday night near Capac. According to the St. Clair County Drug Task Force, authorities were investigating the sale of crystal meth in the Village of Capac around 10pm Wednesday night when a traffic stop was made. A 34 year old Lynn Township man was found to have meth inside his car and he was taken into custody. Deputies then searched the suspect’s house in the 6500 block of Sterling Road in Lynn Township where more meth, as well as a firearm and drug paraphernalia was found. The suspect is currently lodged in the St. Clair County Jail and his name will be released pending arraignment. The total amount of meth seized is believed to have a street value of $23,500.
