New floors at McMorran, playground equipment to be purchased

Port Huron City Council meets tonight in a regular session meeting. City Council Members will be asked to approve over $15,000 for the resurfacing of floors at McMorran Arena and $17,000  for new vinyl flooring at the McMorran Lounge to come from the city’s McMorran Fund. Also tonight, a proposal from Penchura will be presented which calls for the installation of an additional swing set area at Palmer Park. That new equipment will cost nearly $20,000 and will be funded through a series of grants. Additionally, public hearings will be scheduled tonight regarding the maintenance of downtown Port Huron street-scapes. Tonight’s Port Huron City Council will be held at 7pm at the Municipal Office Center.
