AAA of Michigan says the statewide average gas price has increased 16 cents over the past week. Drivers in Michigan can expect to pay $2.96 on average for a gallon of regular unleaded. That is the highest price since October of 2018. The auto club say says a lower gasoline supply coupled with increasing demand is reason for the increase. AAA says St. Clair County gas stations are asking right around the statewide average of $2.96 for a gallon of gas.
