AAA of Michigan says gas prices are holding steady after several weeks of volatility. Michigan drivers can expect to pay about $2.79 a gallon for regular unleaded in the state, a penny lower than this time last month but $1.32 more than this time a year ago. “After a wild March, Michigan drivers are seeing a little stability at the pump,” said Adrienne Woodland, spokesperson, for AAA. “Rising stocks held pump prices in check last week, despite an increase in crude oil prices.  If crude prices continue to rise and remain high, gas prices will likely follow suit.” Port Huron area pumps are right around the $2.71 mark for a gallon of regular gas.
