Michigan gas price rose to the highest point in nearly a year. AAA of Michigan says the statewide average is now $2.39 a gallon, an increase of 12 cents from this time last week and 15-cents more than this time last month. The auto club says increasing crude oil prices are part of the reason for price hike. The most expensive fuel in the state can be found the central UP and the cheapest in the northern lower peninsula. Port Huron area pumps are asking approximately $2.40 a gallon.
