Four injured in Saturday crash, alcohol suspected

The Sanilac County Sheriff’s office says alcohol is suspected in single vehicle crash that occurred Saturday afternoon near Port Sanilac. Deputies say a 29 year old Deckerville Woman was northbound on M-25 near Custer Road in Sanilac Township when she left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The vehicle was occupied by her 34 year old boyfriend and two children. The occupants of the car were taken to an area hospital for treatment. The 34-year-old man was taken into custody and lodged at the Sanilac County jail on an unrelated criminal charges. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash and the driver is expected to face charges.
