Republicans fair well in St. Clair County races

With nearly all precincts reporting in St. Clair County,  Republican Bob Wiley has been re-elected Drain Commissioner. Wiley fended off Democratic challenger Fred Fuller by about a 2 to 1 margin.

Lisa McClain is likely to be the next representative in Congress for the 10th congressional district. Republican Andrew Beeler has a large lead in the 83rd district which includes the City of Port Huron, Fort Gratiot and Burtchville Townships, and all of Sanilac County. Republican Gary Eisen will be re-elected to the 81st district, and Pamela Hornberger is on track to be re-elected in the 32nd state house district.

Republican Duke Dun was re-elected in the 4th county commission district, receiving about twice as many votes compared to Democrat James Papineau.

On the non partisan section of the ballot, Mona Armstrong has been elected 72nd District Court Judge. Armstrong received over twice as many votes compared to challenger Caryn VanderHauvel.
