Charges sought against man with air soft pistol

A Port Huron man could be charged stemming from a weekend incident involving an air soft pistol. According to Port Huron Police, a vehicle occupied by two teenagers spotted the man in the area of Riverside Drive and Garfield Street Saturday. He reportedly entered the roadway with the pistol tucked into his waistband. The two teenagers sped off and the incident was reported to police. Port Huron Police investigated the incident and were advised by neighbors that a similar occurrence happened earlier this summer. Video evidence lead authorities to the suspect, a 33 year old Port Huron man, who stated he had carried the air soft gun an an attempt to slow down residents driving in the neighborhood. The gun was confiscated and police and the case has been forwarded to the St. Clair County Prosecutor’s office for review.
