Local governments are urging the public to perform as many tasks at home as possible. Jay DeBoyer, St. Clair County Clerk, says nearly all business at his office can be done online instead. “We are about 99-percent available online,” said DeBoyer. “From filing court documents… to concealed pistol licenses, all of those things you can do on our website.” The St. Clair County Clerk’s Office can be accessed online at stclaircountyclerk.org

Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson also urges residents to perform business online, by phone, or by mail as much as possible. All 131 Michigan Secretary of State branch offices will be closed to walk-ins until April 6th. Critical transactions that must be conducted in person will be available by appointment only. Those appointments can be made at www.michigan.gov/sos or by calling 888-SOS-MICH.
