It was a sweep by Joe Biden all across Michigan last night, with all 83 counties casting a majority of ballots in favor of the former Vice President. That was especially true in St. Clair and Sanilac Counties, with with Biden winning by about 15 percentage points in St. Clair County and 25 percentage points in Sanilac County. Local voters were also favorable to millage renewals and bond proposals last night. The East China, Yale, and Marlette school districts all passed their respective ballot measures last night. A Casco Township road improvement millage renewal also passed. Voters in the City of Memphis gave the green light to a new millage which would provide funds for city-owned building improvements. Sanilac County voters said “yes” to three millage renewals for recycling, emergency medical services, and the library last night as well.  The only proposal that received a “no” from voters last night was in Sanilac County’s Marion Township, where voters turned down an ordinance proposal to allow a commercial solar energy facility in the township.
