Lambs Road between Wales Center Road and Fitz Road in Wales Township will be closed to traffic for the next three weeks for bridge work. The St. Clair County Road Commission will be installing a new aluminum arch structure along the section of roadway, prompting detours to through traffic. Drivers are encouraged to take Wales Center, Ravenswood, and Fitz Roads in the interim. The $156,000 project is being financed by the St. Clair County Road Commission. Work on the new bridge is being performed by crews from the road commission.
