For the second time in the preseason the New York Islanders beat the Detroit Red Wings in overtime, this time 3-2 in New York on Monday night. Michael Rasmussen and Evgeny Svechnikov scored for the Wings, who continue exhibition play on Wednesday in Pittsburgh.
