Port Huron looks to add more parking spaces

Additional parking spaces could be coming to Downtown Port Huron south of the Black River. Port Huron City Manager James Freed proposing at last night’s Planning Commission meeting the addition of 15 parking spaces on 4th street east of the Harrington Hotel. The city council is also looking to add 41 new parking spaces on a current vacant lot in the 1400 block of Military Street, near the Parfet Building and Harborside Office Center. Freed says construction could begin and be completed this summer.
