A Sandusky man has died after striking a deer on his motorcycle. The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office says it happened Wednesday evening on Ridge Road between Custer and Snover roads in Sanilac Township. The dirt bike, driven by 22 year old Benjamin Maxfield, collided with a deer causing the driver to loose control and be ejected. The man was pronounced dead a the scene. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Names are being withheld until investigations are complete.
