A house in Lapeer County suffering damage after a truck crashed into the house over the weekend. In the early morning hours Saturday, a man traveling on Fostoria Road in Lapeer County’s Marathon Township veered off the road and struck an occupied house. About a quarter of the building was damaged in the crash. The homeowner and driver of the truck were not injured. The driver was arrested and lodged at the Lapeer County Jail on suspicion of operating while intoxicated and driving on a suspended driver’s license. The suspect said he was swerving to avoid a group of deer.
