New trucks for snow plowing and a new police vehicle being approved by the Port Huron City Council at this week’s regular session meeting. Port Huron Mayor Pauline Repp tells WPHM’s Paul Miller the city has also closed the books on fiscal year 2017, getting a clean bill of health from auditors.

One contentious issue that council will be working on is the City’s sign ordinance, which would effect political signs and other yard signs of the like. Mayor Repp says the current code, which requires signs be removed after 30 days, has raised some freedom of speech issues and the council is looking at revising the ordinance.
