The Tigers, who have lost six in a row, managed just five hits in the game. Detroit will try to avoid being swept again, as they face the Sox in the series finale tonight.
The Detroit Lions open the pre-season tonight at Ford Field. The Lions will host the defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants. In other NFL news, the Green Bay Packers traded Brett Favre to the New York Jets for a forth round draft pick.
The Detroit Pistons released their schedule yesterday for the 2008-2009 season. The Pistons will open at home against the Indiana Pacers on October 29.
The 90th PGA Championship begins today at Oakland Hills. The event will continue on through Sunday here in Michigan.
