The rumored and somewhat hoped for visit, by the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security to Port Huron's Blue Water Bridge, is a go.  That's the word from Congressional sources including local Congresswoman Candice Miller who says Jeh Johnson will be here Friday afternoon to review aspects of the bridge, customs and border patrol, and of course the unfinished plaza expansion project.  It is the stalled expansion that has Miller and locals concerned, after the State purchased dozens of properties to make way for the addition...something in the end that the federal government decided not to fund. Miller says that she thinks that Secretary Johnson’s visit on Friday is a positive sign and will be instructive to him and the Administration on the need to get this job done. She notes it was part of a commitment made, by the President, in 2011.
