Bill Gilmer is an award winning radio journalist. Bill's career began in Defiance, Ohio, after graduating from Indiana University. Bill came to the Port Huron in 1979, where he has worked for numerous Port Huron radio stations. Bill is also a former Port Huron City Councilmember, a former Blue Water Festival director and was a Vice-President of the Michigan Waterways Council of the Girl Scouts Of America. He is a member of the Citizen Corps Committee with the Saint Clair County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Bill recently received the Communications Awareness Award from Saint Clair County Community Mental Health. He is an avid college basketball fan and loves a wide variety of music.
