For the second time in three games Mariano Rivera blew a save and Brett Gardner bailed him out with a walk off hit, as the New York Yankees beat the Detroit Tigers 5-4 on Sunday at Yankees Stadium.  Down 4-2 in the ninth the Tigers got solo home runs off Rivera from Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez to tie the game, but Gardner hit a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth off Jose Veras for New York.  Brayan Pena had three hits, including a home run.  The Tigers play the White Sox in Chicago on Monday night.
