A trio of regular meetings scheduled for tonight in the local area. Port Huron Area School District Board of Education, fresh off workshops on the search for a new superintendent, holds a regular session tonight to take care of several housekeeping items. Included are contracts for improvements to be made to the McKinley building which is where board meetings are held. Those sessions, after tonight, will be moved to the cafeteria at Port Huron High while construction work is underway. The McKinley building is to be transformed to the new home for the district’s central offices. Also tonight Port Huron and Marysville City Councils meet in separate regular session. Look for reports on the police and fire departments in Port Huron. Marysville City Council will be hearing from County Commissioner Tom Reilly on plans for the yet to be built convention center along the Thomas Edison Parkway. Meeting times are 7:00 p.m. for the Port Huron Area School District and Port Huron City Council and 7:30 p.m. for Marysville City Council.
