A trio of local governmental meetings to wrap up the year this evening. The final regular session of the Port Huron City Council is set to begin at 6:30 with a host of rental ordinance and resolutions to give final approval to. The Council is also expected to designate several appointments to keep the McMorran Civic Center Authority going with 2 and 4 year terms to be set. A $185,000 appropriation for the entertainment center is also expected with the funds designated for an outdoor electronic display sign. In Marysville meanwhile the city council is posed to select two new councilmembers from a field of 11 who had applied for the vacancies....and the Port Huron Area School District Board of Education holds a final regular session of the year tonight with thoughts of how to select a new superintendent on their minds for the new year after Ron Wollen announced he would retire this summer at the end of the fiscal year.
