The Detroit Tigers lowered their magic number to one to clinch their third straight Central Division title on Tuesday night, with a 4-2 win over the Minnesota Twins. All of Detroit's runs scored in the fourth inning on three home runs. Victor Martinez and Omar Infante hit back to back solo shots and Austin Jackson added a two run homer later in the inning. The final game of a three game series is Wednesday night in Minnesota. Any Tigers win or Cleveland loss in the final four games of the regular season will clinch the division crown for Detroit.
