FORMER DOWNTOWN WOMENS STORE GETTING REDO
You may have seen some new building construction work going on through downtown Port Huron as local developer Larry Jones continues to refashion 208 Huron as a commercial and loft space structure. He says the project is in keeping with what attracts and keeps residents, namely walk able residential and commercial space. Jones says the building has seen many changes over the years, with the decision made to strip down the facade to bare brick and then work it up from there. He says he doesn't have an tenants lined up yet, but the project is just one of many he has his hands in, along with work on the Sperry's building, the new loft space for students along Superior and the about-to-be-opened Cajun Gator restaurant that's rising from the remains of the Huron Athletic Club.
