Even if you feel you're numb to the "pain at the gas pumps" sensation, this one will get you as drivers are seeing prices well above four bucks a gallon this week. Nancy Cain at AAA Michigan says pump prices in the state are now the highest in the country outside of Hawaii, due to refinery problems throughout the Midwest. The problems range from changing to summer blends to equipment maintenance. Cain says Michigan's average price shot up to $4.10 a gallon, which is about 23-cents per gallon higher than last week. She says once the refinery problems are fixed prices will stabilize.
