The St. Clair County Health Department is conducting an exercise later this month to test components of their emergency response plan and they need your help. Diane Forys, Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, tells us that the public is being asked to help test the Health Department's response, in a scenario that requires emergency dispensing of life-saving medications. Interested citizen's should report to Port Huron High School on the 19th, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to be part of a mock presentation, that should take no more than fifteen minutes. Instead of actual pills, packets of candy will be dispensed to participants. Department officials say that if you have questions before the exercise visit thier website HERE or call 810-987-5300 and speak to the Emergency Preparedness Office.
