The November election will see local municipal candidates vying for various seats and positions, with a filing deadline to run having passed Tuesday. In Yale the currently seated incumbents have filed for re-election and are unopposed, including Mayor Jim Cronin. In the city of St. Clair, Mayor Bill Cedar will be seeking another go at the office with no opposition, while for the council, the only contest is Ward 3 where 3 are running for two seats including the incumbents. In Marine City current Mayor Charles Brown will be running unopposed for the post while six candidates are going after three commission seats. Marysville meanwhile sees current councilmember Daniel Damman challenging incumbent Gary Orr for the post of Mayor. Four will be seeking three council seats. In the City of Port Huron the filing deadline is not until August.
