Mayor, Pauline Repp

SPERRYS, LAKESIDE, EMERGENCY TOPICS ON AGENDA

A regular session last night, for the Port Huron City Council, saw them approving the assignment agreement with Sperry's Landmark Incorporated, for the Sperry's building project.  Mayor, Pauline Repp, says the item comes about from a name change for the legal entity that owns the historic structure. The council also heard a presentation on the proposed Master Plan for Lakeside Park.  The city's Nancy Winzer says, the public input sessions late last year have been incorporated into the plan, with a public hearing for the plan to be given next week.  The plan will be used to apply for grant improvement programs. The council also gave a first reading to an ordinance amendment for transferring emergency management activities to St. Clair County's Emergency Management Department.  Director of Public Safety, Michael Reaves, says it was a redundancy for both the city and county to have the office.
