The Dallas Mavericks edged the Detroit Pistons 102-99 at the Palace on Friday night.  Charlie Villanueva scored all 12 of his points in the final quarter, but missed a three pointer at the buzzer that would have forced overtime.  Brandon Knight led the Pistons with 21 points, Greg Monroe and rookie Khris Middleton each had 14.
