The St. Clair County Community College women's basketball team won the MCCAA State Championship on Saturday with a 68-62 win over No. 14 Kalamazoo Valley. The Lady Skippers, ranked No. 6 in the country, won their first conference title since 1996-97 this year and just the third in school history. SC4 is now 28-1 on the season and has won 13 games in a row. Heidi Highstreet of Algonac had 13 points and 13 rebounds in the win. The Skippers open regionals on Thursday.
