No. 8 Michigan State had a battle on Saturday night at Nebraska, but finally pulled away in the second half for a 73-64 victory that keeps the Spartans tied with Indiana for first in the Big Ten.  Adreian Payne had 16 points and 14 rebounds for MSU, while Keith Appling also picked up 16 points.  Gary Harris added 14 and Derrick Nix 12 for the Spartans who host Indiana on Tuesday in East Lansing.
