COLD TODAY? WAIT TILL TOMORROW!
Prepare to get cold. This week is expected to bring the most brutally cold temperatures for us so far this winter. We asked Meteorologist Rich Pollman at the National Weather Service with temperatures expected to be no better than the teens for most of the week, how about the chance for any lake effect snowfall? He believes thanks to west winds most of the snow off the lake, if any, will fall on the Ontario side. Single digit highs are possible for Tuesday. Pollman says winter still has a long way to go, with long range forecasts holding steady for average amounts of snowfall. The Climate Prediction Center shows the longer range outlook into next month and calls are for below average temperatures for the period. For those who might be longing for a bit of warmth, Pollman says you'd have to go out west past the Rocky Mountains.
