The Honeybaked Pee Wee AAA team improved to 3-0-0 in pool play of the 51st Port Huron Silver Stick Finals with a pair of wins on Friday. The team coached by Trevor Edwards, a former player with the Beacons and Flags, opened the day with a 3-1 win over Nickle City at Glacier Pointe in the morning and followed it up with a 9-0 romp over Barrie at the McMorran Main in the afternoon. Noah McNutt of Fort Gratiot led the charges in the afternoon with three goals and an assist, while Noah Carlin of Marine City added a pair of assists. Goalie Zach Borgiel of Fort Gratiot made 8 saves against Barrie to record his second shutout in two starts in the tournament. Honeybaked has one pool game remaining on Saturday morning and has outscored its opponents 16-1 in three games so far.
